Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid is a decentralized perpetual futures exchange built on its own L1 blockchain. Unlike centralized exchanges, Hyperliquid uses on-chain order books and wallet-based authentication.
Creating an Agent Wallet
Hyperliquid uses a wallet-based agent pattern instead of traditional API keys. You'll generate an agent wallet that Crodl uses to trade on your behalf.
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Go to app.hyperliquid.xyz and connect your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, etc.).
Step 2: Navigate to API Section
Click on your wallet address in the top right, then select "API" from the menu.
You can also go directly to app.hyperliquid.xyz/API.
Step 3: Generate Agent Wallet
Click "Generate API Wallet". This creates a new agent wallet that can trade on your behalf.
Step 4: Approve the Agent
Sign the approval transaction in your Web3 wallet. This authorizes the agent to trade using your funds.
Step 5: Copy Wallet Details
Copy your Master Address (your main wallet), Agent Address, and Agent Private Key.
Step 6: Store Securely
Save the agent private key securely. If lost, you will need to generate a new agent wallet.
Your agent private key is sensitive. The agent wallet pattern lets you delegate trading authority without exposing your master wallet's private key. Never share your master wallet's private key with anyone.
Test on testnet first at app.hyperliquid-testnet.xyz before using real funds. You can revoke agent access anytime from the Hyperliquid UI.
Adding to Crodl
- Go to Settings → API Keys
- Select the Hyperliquid tab
- Enter a Label for this connection
- Enter your Master Address (your main 0x... wallet address)
- Enter your Agent Address (the 0x... agent wallet address)
- Enter your Agent Private Key
- Select your Mode —
LiveorTestnet - Click Add API Key
- Click Verify on the new key to test the connection
Your agent address must be approved on Hyperliquid before it will validate in Crodl. Make sure you completed the approval step above.
