Quickstart
Get connected and trading in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the essentials.
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit crodl.com and click Sign Up
- Sign up with email and password or use Google OAuth
- Verify your email via the confirmation link
Step 2: Unlock Access
Crodl requires an active membership. If you sign in without one, the app shows a full-screen Membership required screen with two paths:
- Pay — choose a Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime plan and complete checkout.
- Get it free (exchange-pays) — create an exchange account through one of Crodl's referral links (currently Blofin or Bitunix), connect that account's API key so the referral is verified automatically, then trade $100k in volume within your first 30 days — and keep $100k of volume every rolling 30 days to keep your membership free.
Signed up through another user's referral link? A time-limited trial is granted automatically — it is not a plan you can select. Everyone else picks a paid plan or uses the exchange-pays path.
You can also manage your plan later from Settings → Membership.
Step 3: Connect an Exchange
If no exchange is connected yet, a prompt bar appears at the top of the app — click Show onboarding to open the guided setup:
- Choose your exchange (e.g., Blofin, Bybit, OKX)
- Paste the credentials required by your exchange — API key, secret, and any required passphrase or region setting
- Choose the correct mode if your exchange supports live and demo keys
- Click Add & Verify
You can also add keys later from Settings → API Keys by selecting an exchange tab and using Add API Key.
Make sure your API key has read and trade permissions enabled, but not withdrawal permissions.
Some exchanges need extra fields beyond the key and secret. For example, OKX, Blofin, and Bitget require a passphrase, while Bybit live keys may require a region selection. Use the exchange-specific guides if you want the exact field list.
Step 4: Explore the Dashboard
After connecting an exchange, your dashboard will populate with:
- Account balance and equity
- Open positions with real-time PnL
- Recent trades and order history
- Performance analytics
Step 5: Place Your First Trade
- Open Terminal from the sidebar
- Select a trading pair (e.g., BTC-USDT)
- Choose your order type (Market, Limit, or Chase)
- Set your size, leverage, and optional TP/SL
- Click Open Long or Open Short to execute
