Reports & Metrics

The Reports tab turns your annotated trades into patterns. It answers questions like which setups actually make money, what does my average loss look like, and am I better in the morning or the afternoon.

Wins vs Losses

A side-by-side breakdown of your winning and losing trades:

  • Total P&L, trade count, average trade for each side
  • Max streak — your longest run of consecutive wins or losses
  • Best trade on the win side and Worst trade on the loss side
  • Avg R for each side
  • A cumulative P&L curve per side

Comparing the two sides quickly shows whether your edge comes from a high win rate, a strong risk-reward ratio, or both.

Compare

Build two groups (A and B) from filters and compare them head to head:

  • Filter each group by symbol, side (long/short), or a tag match
  • See each group's net P&L, win rate, and Avg R, with a win/loss donut
  • The footer shows the net P&L edge of A over B

Use it to test ideas — do my breakout setups beat my reversals?, am I better on BTC than alts?

Breakdowns

Tables that group your trades by a dimension, each with win rate, net P&L, and Avg R:

  • By symbol — which markets carry your performance
  • By setup / mistake / emotion — which patterns and states help or hurt
  • By playbook — how each of your playbooks actually performs
  • By weekday and by hour — when you trade best

When position data is available for your scope, a Position edge section adds three more angles: by side (long vs short), by holding time, and by session (time of day).

What the metrics mean

Crodl uses one consistent definition for every metric, so the same number reads the same on the day panel, the calendar, and Reports:

MetricDefinition
Win rateWins ÷ (wins + losses). Break-even trades are excluded from the denominator.
Profit factorGross profit ÷ gross loss. Shown as "No losing trades" when there are no losers.
Net P&LRealized P&L summed over all fills — including the fee cost of opening fills — so money totals always reconcile. Only win/loss counts and win rate are limited to decided trades.
R-multipleRealized P&L ÷ risk (or a manually entered R).
Average RThe mean R across trades that have one — your expectancy per trade.

The Reports analytics are computed from the trades currently loaded for your selected scope and date window. Narrow the exchange, key, or period to focus a report. For account-wide totals, see the Dashboard Analytics.

Expectancy (average R) is the number to watch. A setup with a 40% win rate can be highly profitable if its average R is strongly positive — and a 70% win rate can still lose money if the losers are large.
