Notifications

Settings → Notifications is where you connect your messaging apps so Crodl can send trade alerts straight to your DMs. Both Discord and Telegram are supported, and each connection has its own on/off toggle.

Alerts cover your trading activity — for example trade executions and trigger events — delivered to you as a direct message from the Crodl bot.

Discord

Connecting

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Under Discord, click DM Crodl Bot to open a direct message with the bot (the bot's user ID is shown on the page with a copy button if you prefer to find it manually)
  3. Back in Crodl, click Generate Connect Token
  4. Copy the generated command and send it to the bot in your Discord DM:
!connect <token>

Once linked, the page shows Connected as with your Discord username.

Managing

  • Enable notifications — the master toggle for Discord DMs, without disconnecting
  • Alert DMs — a separate toggle for chart alert DMs specifically. Turning it off stops those direct messages while leaving in-app notifications untouched. Unavailable while the master toggle is off
  • Disconnect — unlink your Discord account entirely
  • Generate New Token — create a fresh token if the previous one didn't work

Telegram

Connecting

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Under Telegram, click Message Crodl Bot to open a chat with the bot on Telegram
  3. Back in Crodl, click Generate Connect Token
  4. Copy the generated command and send it to the bot in your Telegram chat:
/connect <token>

Once linked, the page shows Connected as with your Telegram username.

Managing

  • Enable notifications — the master toggle for Telegram DMs, without disconnecting
  • Alert DMs — a separate toggle for chart alert DMs specifically, with the same semantics as Discord's
  • Disconnect — unlink your Telegram account entirely
  • Generate New Token — create a fresh token if the previous one didn't work

Connect tokens are single-use link codes. If a token doesn't work, generate a new one and send the fresh command to the bot.

In-App Notifications

Separately from DM alerts, the notification bell in the Crodl header shows in-app notifications (trade events, announcements, and system alerts) with an unread count. Click the bell to open the panel, click a notification to mark it as read, or use Mark All as Read.

Best Practices

  • Connect at least one messaging app so you get trade alerts even when Crodl isn't open in your browser
  • Keep the notification toggle enabled for the app you check most often
  • If you stop receiving DMs, check that the bot isn't blocked and that the toggle is still on in Settings → Notifications
