General Settings

The general settings page lets you customize your Crodl account and security.

Profile Settings

Username

Set your display name within the application. Navigate to Settings → General to update.

Email

Your email address is used for:

  • Account login
  • Notification delivery
  • Account recovery

Email verification is required to access all features.

Privacy

Toggle your anonymous public profile to control whether your username is visible to other users.

Security

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account using TOTP-based 2FA:

  1. Go to Settings → General
  2. Click Set up 2FA
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter the verification code to confirm
  5. Save your recovery codes in a secure location — they're shown once after enabling

To turn 2FA off, use the disable option in the same section — you'll need a current authenticator code (or a recovery code) to confirm.

Passkeys (WebAuthn)

Use biometric authentication or hardware security keys for passwordless login:

  1. Go to Settings → General
  2. Optionally enter a nickname to identify the passkey
  3. Click Add passkey
  4. Follow your browser's prompt to register a fingerprint, face, or security key

You can add multiple passkeys and remove them at any time — removing one requires a passkey verification prompt.

Authentication Methods

Crodl supports multiple login methods:

Email + PasswordTraditional login

Appearance

Choose how Crodl looks under Settings → General → Theme: Dark, Light, or System (follows your OS preference).

Account Management

Password Reset

Click Reset Password in Settings → General to email yourself a reset link, or use the Forgot Password link on the login page.

Onboarding

New accounts go through an onboarding flow to connect your first exchange. Revisit it anytime with Replay Guide in Settings → General.

Client Cache

Clear Cache & Reload resets client-side chart state and cached API responses without logging you out — useful if the app is showing stale data.
