Dashboard Overview
Crodl's dashboard now has two distinct modes:
- Default for balances, positions, and exchange-level monitoring
- Strategy for journal-style review grouped by
strategy_dashboard_id
Use the mode toggle at the top of the dashboard, or open Strategy mode directly at /dashboard?view=strategy.
Default Mode
Default mode is the original account dashboard. It is designed for exchange monitoring and day-to-day account oversight.
What You See
- Total equity with your 30-day net P&L and a sparkline of recent performance
- Per-currency balances for each stablecoin/asset on the account, with frozen amounts flagged
- Total available margin with a margin-health readout showing how much is deployed
- Analytics — win rate, profit factor, P&L charts, and the P&L calendar (see Analytics)
- Exchange tabs so you can switch between exchange-specific views, plus API key tabs to view all keys combined or one key at a time
Strategy Mode
Strategy mode is the journaling view. It does not change trade execution. It only groups completed trigger and webhook activity into journals for review.
How Journals Are Created
Crodl creates a journal automatically when a trigger or webhook payload includes strategy_dashboard_id.
That means:
- you do not need to manually start a session first
- the same
strategy_dashboard_idgroups related opens and closes together - journals are scoped by exchange + API key + strategy_dashboard_id
strategy_dashboard_id is reporting-only. It does not change order routing, quantity, pyramiding, or how closes are matched.
How to Review a Journal
Strategy mode follows a simple flow:
- Pick the exchange
- Pick the API key
- Pick the exact strategy ID
Once selected, Crodl shows the journal for that combination.
What You See in a Journal
Session Header
The header shows:
- Journal name
- Exchange and API key
- Status
- Last sync time
- Strategy ID
- Sync health
Journal management lives in the Settings tab, which also shows the created-from source (manual setup vs trigger/payload). From there you can:
- rename the journal
- add notes
- end the journal
- delete the journal
Current State
The top summary cards focus on the status of that journal:
- Realized P&L — cumulative realized PnL from closed journal trades
- Completed trades — completed round-trips in this journal
- Open positions — lots still open inside this journal
- Sync health — whether events are projected, pending, or failed
Review Tabs
The main tabs are designed for review instead of execution:
- Overview — current state, recent trades, recent activity
- Trades — closed journal trades
- History — other journals on the same key
- Analytics — deeper performance analysis when the journal data is complete
- Settings — journal metadata and management actions
Pending and Failed Events
If a journal still has events reconciling or failed enrichment, Crodl shows that clearly in the header and sync health card.
When a journal is not clean yet:
- advanced analytics stay hidden until the journal has at least one projected closed trade; after that, an incomplete journal shows analytics with a Partial analytics warning banner
- the journal can still show recent projected trades
- you can still inspect activity to see what has been recorded
This is intentional so incomplete exchange-history enrichment does not look like final performance.
allocation_id vs strategy_dashboard_id
These fields solve different problems:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
allocation_id | Controls how opens and closes are bucketed for execution and close matching |
strategy_dashboard_id | Groups related executions into one reporting journal |
Use allocation_id when you need isolated close behavior.
Use strategy_dashboard_id when you need journal reporting.
Use both when you want isolated execution buckets and grouped journal reporting.
Do not replace allocation_id with strategy_dashboard_id. Only allocation_id affects close matching.
